CT SCAN

CT stands for computerized tomography is a non invasive scanning procedure which uses advanced rotating X-ray machines to generate cross – sectional images of the bones, soft tissues, blood vessel inside of the body.  CT Scans or CAT Scans can be performed on any part of the body and procedure is absolutely painless.

1.      Do not eat or drink for a few hours – at least 2 to 3 hours before CT Scan

2.      Do not wear or carry metal objects, jewellery, eyeglasses, accessories of any kind to the scan room

3.      Wear loose fitting clothes or hospital gown.

4.      Inform the radiologist incase of serious health issue or recent surgery or you have implants of any kind in your body

5.      Inform in prior if you are claustrophobic or anxiety issues so our doctors take the necessary action for a smooth scan at your convenience

6.      Inform in prior if you are pregnant, especially in the first trimester of the pregnancy.

7.      Contrast dye may be injected to highlight the areas of the body examined to obtain accurate diagnosis

4D ULTRASOUND

ECHO

An echocardiogram (echo) is a graphic representation of the heart’s movement. During an echo test, ultrasound (high-frequency sound waves) from a hand-held wand  is placed on the chest which provides pictures of the heart’s valves and chambers and helps the sonographer evaluate the pumping action of the heart.

Echo is usually done with Doppler ultrasound and color Doppler to evaluate blood flow across the heart’s valves.
