CT SCAN

CT stands for computerized tomography is a non invasive scanning procedure which uses advanced rotating X-ray machines to generate cross – sectional images of the bones, soft tissues, blood vessel inside of the body.  CT Scans or CAT Scans can be performed on any part of the body and procedure is absolutely painless.

1.      Do not eat or drink for a few hours – at least 2 to 3 hours before CT Scan

2.      Do not wear or carry metal objects, jewellery, eyeglasses, accessories of any kind to the scan room

3.      Wear loose fitting clothes or hospital gown.

4.      Inform the radiologist incase of serious health issue or recent surgery or you have implants of any kind in your body

7.      Contrast dye may be injected to highlight the areas of the body examined to obtain accurate diagnosis
